Product Description
The PackAlarm is a pocket-sized, portable unit that uses sensor lines to trigger an alarm indicating a perimeter breach.
The pack alarm is half the size of a coffee cup, weighs eight ounces, and shields a perimeter of up to 6,500 square feet.
The reel contains 330 meters of sensor line, a top knob, an augmenter (trigger) and six sensor-line guides for use in open areas without trees or brush.
It is simple, durable, and easy to use--your imagination will be the only limitation.
It is almost impossible to see the spidery sensor line. The PackAlarm will not be set off by weather and cannot be triggered by small animals because they run under the sensor line, assuming you don’t string it next to the ground.
Uses
It has infinite uses, including alerting campers of bear attacks, protecting gardens and fruit trees from deer, alerting residents of home instrusions and guarding your swimming pool from little kids. Adventurers, backpackers, homeowners, farmers, outdoorsmen, and paintball warriors can all use the PackAlarm to protect themselves from surprise attacks.
Invention
The PackAlarm was invented and patented by the adventurer, author, and bush pilot, Tom Hron, after a lifetime of flying and camping in Alaska's and Canada's dangerous bear country. Black bears, grizzlies, and polar bears often attack people in their tents and kill them. He once woke up to something poking the back of his head through his tent’s wall, much like a dog was sniffing him, only to suddenly learn a bear was raiding his campsite.
The problem outdoorsmen have when they are camping in bear country is they don’t know they’re in danger until its too late. The PackAlarm will warn you in time to defend yourself when you use it as a bear alarm.
To Use
Simply select a small tree, bush, or pound a stake into the ground where you want to position the PackAlarm and string its threadlike sensor line in a circle, rectangle, or in a straight boundary line to protect the area where you want to be warned of an intruder.
The sensor line is almost frictionless and can be strung right through trees, brush, and weeds and becomes nearly invisible once hidden by grass and leaves. It can be run ninety degrees around a tree to set up a perimeter back to the PackAlarm and the siren will still get tripped because the sensor line is so slippery and strong.
There’s no limit to the odd shapes that your boundaries can take, and the PackAlarm can be used in any outdoor setting, whether it’s in the woods, the desert, or in the mountains. It can even be used indoors as a burglar alarm by stringing its sensor line around furniture or over to a door or window. Once again, your imagination will be the only limitation on the ways you can use the PackAlarm.
Carry the PackAlarm in your pocket, your backpack, or even in your airplane, boat, or car. Buy two and protect twice the space by placing them on opposite sides, since there’s no other portable alarm that can be used in so many ways at such an affordable price. Children think they’re great fun so purchase it as a gift. There’s no better portable bear alarm, burglar alarm, and perimeter alarm in the world
